Part of a series called ‘Folly,’ ‘Rococo Hut’ is an aluminium representation of a playhouse, which has the appearance of a stage set or pop-up book. On show at Chatsworth, Rachel Feinstein’s ‘Rococo Hub’ and ‘Britannia’ reference the 18th century baroque and rococo styles of art and architecture, and are thus in dialogue with works from the collection of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, as well as with the rich ornamentation of Chatsworth House.
