Bally is proud to announce a series of new mountain preservation initiatives and the establishment of the Bally Peak Outlook Foundation, formed to proactively structure the company's long-term commitment to mountain protection. In order to help safeguard the world's extreme environments from the adverse effects of climate change and excessive tourism, Bally will sponsor a series of targeted, community-led projects by Dawa Steven Sherpa starting with a return to cleanup the b...asecamp of Mount Everest and the basecamps of seven other 8000m mountains in the Himalayan region over a two-year period. To further celebrate the fellowship of mountaineering, which has been an integral part of the brand's pioneering legacy since 1851, and the inclusion of sport climbing as an official event at the XXXII Olympic Summer Games in Tokyo 2020, the Bally Peak Outlook Foundation will support a high-altitude climb to remove waste from the inaccessible areas of Mount Fuji in partnership with Japan's Fujisan Club. Bally will also continue to provide assistance to the Tenzing Norgay Foundation, and develop a new employee engagement program in collaboration with the World Nature Forum and the UIAA, the latter of whose Mountain Protection Award the brand will support for two consecutive years.
