Sean Villanueva O’Driscoll high-steps into the end zone on Astroturf in Joshua Tree. The desert is thriving. Since the passing of the 1994 California Desert Protection Act, more than 50 wilderness areas were established, including Joshua Tree National Park, Death Valley National Park and Mojave National Preserve. This month, we celebrate 25 years of conservation for California’s desert landscapes and public lands. Join us and our friends at Amargosa Conservancy , California Wilderness Coalition , Friends of the Inyo, and Mojave Desert Land Trust in celebrating these spaces through events happening across the Desert.
