On stage at the 70th annual Sanremo Rai Music Festival, Achille Lauro took off his custom Gucci velvet cape revealing an embroidered mesh look designed by Alessandro Michele. The performance was as a homage to a fresco by Giotto representing Saint Francis of Assisi—an Italian fiar from the 13th century—giving up a life of wealth to dedicate himself to charity.
