Unveiling new exhibits at the Gucci Garden in Florence conceived by Alessandro

Unveiling new exhibits at the Gucci Garden in Florence conceived by Alessandro Michele and curated by Maria Luisa Frisa. The first room is called ‘Détournement,’ which means rerouting in French—the term was adapted by the Situationist International movement which described it as ‘a reuse of pre-existing artistic elements in a new ensemble’. The room features a wall by artist Yuko Higuchi who imagined a mythical creature incorporating many of the House motifs and ready-to-wear pieces with the Gucci logo displayed in diverse forms and fabrics including a dress in GG fabric from 1969 and a leather jacket with embroidered Donald Duck © Disney appliqué by Alessandro Michele.
